Four things that change what you pay
How many pages
A page for each job you do and each suburb you work is what gets you found for those searches. More services and areas means more pages, so it costs more. A one-page site is cheap because it can't rank for much.
Who writes the copy
Cheap builds usually hand you a template and ask you to write it. If someone writes it for you, it's often an extra $500 to $1,500.
What it connects to
Quote forms, booking and a link into Fergus, ServiceM8, Tradify or Jobber so enquiries land where you already work. Elsewhere this is often an extra. Ours includes it.
Monthly retainers
Agencies often bundle SEO retainers of $200 to $500 or more a month. Ask what you get for it each month, in writing, before you sign.

Tradie website cost, answered
How much does a website for a tradie cost in Australia?
Most tradies pay $1,500 to $4,000 for a freelancer-built site or $5,000 to $10,000+ for an agency, plus monthly fees. Budget template builders charge $500 to $1,200 but you usually write the copy. ServiceScale builds multi-page tradie websites from $990 + GST, fixed, with no monthly fees to us.
Are there ongoing costs after the website is built?
Every website needs a domain and hosting. With ServiceScale you pay those straight to the provider in your own name: hosting is about $40 a month plus the yearly domain renewal. There are no monthly fees to us and no retainer.
Why are some tradie websites so cheap?
Usually because it's one page, a template you fill in yourself, or a monthly subscription where you never own the site. Check three things: the site and domain are in your name, there's a page for each job and suburb, and the price is fixed before work starts.
Is $990 the real price?
It's the starting price for a multi-page site. The services and areas you cover set the exact figure, and you see it before you pay. No deposit: you pay when the site is finished, and if you're not happy, you don't pay.
How long does a tradie website take to build?
Freelancers and agencies typically take 4 to 12 weeks. ServiceScale sites are live in 2 weeks from go-ahead. We write the copy and build it; you review and approve.
