The short answer
Field Promax is US field service software covering scheduling, work orders, estimates and invoicing, with a Xero link. It suits small crews that want a wide feature set in one app. The catch: prices are in USD, starting at US$99 a month for 1 user, and it has no AU-specific features like MYOB.
Last verified
“A broad field service toolkit that connects to Xero, but it's billed in US dollars from US$99 a month for a single user. Hard to pick over the AU-built options unless you need a feature they lack.”

Overview
Field Promax is field service management software from the US. It covers scheduling and dispatch, GPS tracking, work orders, estimates, invoicing and payments, plus a customer hub with online booking. Industry pages include plumbing, electrical, HVAC and fire services.
Pricing is published in USD. Light is US$99 a month for 1 user, Standard US$239 for 2 to 5 users and Premium US$319 for 6 to 8 users, with US$40 a user after that. Annual billing saves 20% (first year only, per the page). No contract required.
Integrations: Xero, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Stripe, Google Calendar and Paylocity are listed.
The honest assessment: the feature list is broad and it does connect to Xero. For an Australian tradie the problems are price and fit: plans start at US$99 a month for one user, billed in US dollars, and the phone support number on the site is a US one. We found no AU-specific features such as MYOB. We have not tested it hands-on.

Solid NZ-built job management app that handles quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and time tracking. Great starting point for small teams, but you'll outgrow it past 15-20 staff.

ServiceM8
Aussie-built field service app with a pay-per-job pricing model instead of monthly seats. The iOS app is genuinely great, Android has historically been a step behind.

Fergus
Built by a plumber who was sick of losing money on jobs, so the cost tracking is genuinely good. Pulls live supplier pricing from Reece and Tradelink, which saves real time on quotes.
