ServiceScale Verdict
“Polished UI and a client portal that actually impresses customers, but it's billed in USD, so watch the exchange rate, and don't expect deep job costing.”

Overview
Jobber is one of the most widely adopted field service management platforms in the world, and has a significant and growing user base in Australia. It covers the full service cycle: quoting, scheduling, dispatching, invoicing, and payment collection.
Where Jobber stands out is client communication. The client hub lets customers view quotes, approve jobs, pay invoices, and request new work online, reducing admin calls significantly. Automated follow-up sequences and job reminders run without manual input.
Strengths: The UI is genuinely easy to learn, most small teams are productive within a week. The mobile app is polished. Reporting is stronger than Tradify. The built-in client hub is a differentiator that most AU-built competitors lack.
Limitations: Jobber is priced in USD, so AU pricing varies with exchange rates. Some AU-specific integrations (MYOB, Ezidebit) are less mature than local alternatives. Lacks the deep inventory and multi-stage project tracking that AroFlo or Simpro offer.
A strong choice for service-based trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, landscaping) that want a polished client experience and strong scheduling without the complexity of enterprise platforms.
Pros & Cons
Best for
Service-based trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, landscaping) with 1–15 staff who want a polished client experience and strong automations without enterprise complexity.
Not ideal for
Builders or project-based trades needing deep job costing, inventory, or multi-stage project tracking. Businesses with heavy MYOB reliance may find integration friction.

Solid NZ-built job management app that handles quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and time tracking. Great starting point for small teams, but you'll outgrow it past 15-20 staff.

ServiceM8
Aussie-built field service app with a pay-per-job pricing model instead of monthly seats. The iOS app is genuinely great, Android has historically been a step behind.

Built by a plumber who was sick of losing money on jobs, so the cost tracking is genuinely good. Pulls live supplier pricing from Reece and Tradelink, which saves real time on quotes.
