Giday
AI receptionist that answers, books jobs and texts the customer, from $49 a month incl GST. Cheap and transparent, but quoting and transcripts sit on the higher plans and it's a young product.

The short answer
Giday is an Australian AI receptionist that answers calls 24/7, books jobs into a calendar and texts the customer. It suits sole traders who miss calls on site. Plans run $49 to $399 a month incl GST with no setup fee. The catch: quoting and transcripts need the dearer plans, and it's a new product.

“The cheapest way into an AI receptionist we've reviewed, with every price on the page. Quoting and transcripts cost more than the headline $49, and it's too new to have a track record.”

Overview
Giday is an Australian AI receptionist. It answers your business calls 24/7 in an Australian voice, books jobs into a calendar mid-call, texts the customer a confirmation and sends everything else to you as an SMS and email message. It's sold to trades and to other small service businesses such as salons, cleaners and clinics.
How it works: you sign up, get your own Australian number, paste in your services, prices and hours, then divert your existing number with a dial code. The suggested starting point is diverting only the calls you already miss, so you keep answering as normal and Giday catches what rings out. It says it is a virtual receptionist if a caller asks, opens every call "on a recorded line", and patches genuine emergencies through to you.
Pricing is published in full. Four plans from $49 to $399 a month, AUD with GST included, no setup fee and no lock-in. Each plan includes a set number of call minutes, and Giday publishes the overage rates and how a busy month is billed.
The honest assessment: on price and transparency it's the easiest AI receptionist in this category to evaluate before you spend anything. The catch is what sits behind the higher plans: call transcripts, reading your own live calendar and the ServiceM8 link start on Steady ($99), and quoting from your price list starts on Busy ($199). The $49 Starter plan includes 30 minutes, which Giday puts at about 25 calls. It's also a new product, its usage figures are its own, and we found no independent review base yet. We have not tested it hands-on.
