Deputy is built in Sydney and is the leading workforce management tool for Australian businesses. For trade businesses with employees or apprentices, Deputy handles the three things that create the most compliance risk: rostering, timesheet approval, and award wage calculations.
AU compliance is where Deputy shines: The platform has built-in interpretation of Australian Modern Awards, including the Building and Construction General On-site Award. It calculates penalty rates, overtime, and allowances automatically, critical when you're paying an apprentice or a leading hand under award conditions. It also integrates with STP Phase 2 payroll.
Xero and MYOB payroll integration means approved timesheets flow directly into your payroll run without re-entry, one of the highest-value time savings for businesses with even 3–4 employees.
Deputy also has a strong mobile app for employees to clock in/out, view their roster, and submit shift swaps, reducing the back-and-forth with field staff.
