RosterElf
Australian rostering and time-clock app with award interpretation and Xero and MYOB payroll export, from $3 a user a month (HR only) or $6 with rostering, plus GST. Built around shift work, so it fits hospitality more naturally than job-based trades.

The short answer
RosterElf is Australian rostering and timesheet software with award interpretation and Xero and MYOB payroll export. It suits trades with apprentices and casuals on set shifts. Plans start at $3 a user a month (HR only), $6 with rostering, plus GST, billed annually. The catch: it's built around rosters, so crews scheduled by job may not need it.

“Cheap, Australian and handles awards and timesheets properly. Built for rostered shifts though, so a trade crew booked off a job board may get more than it needs.”

Overview
RosterElf is Australian rostering, time and attendance and HR software. It builds rosters, clocks staff on and off with GPS and photo proof, interprets awards and exports payroll-ready timesheets to Xero and MYOB. Data is hosted in Australia.
Pricing is published in AUD. Core (rostering plus time and attendance) is $6, Full Suite (adds HR, onboarding, contracts and certificate tracking) is $7, and HR only is $3, per user per month plus GST, billed annually. Every active employee counts, logged in or not. Monthly billing has a 3-staff minimum and annual billing a 10-seat minimum. 15-day free trial, no card.
The honest assessment: award interpretation and certificate tracking are genuinely useful for trades with apprentices and casuals. But RosterElf's feature set is built around rostered shifts: templates, shift swaps, open shifts and break planning. If your crew's days are set by the job board in Tradify or ServiceM8, you may not need a roster at all, and Deputy and Tanda cover the same ground with bigger user bases. The prices above are the annual rates; monthly is dearer. We have not tested it hands-on.
