Groundplan is a focused digital takeoff tool built in Australia for the construction and trade estimating market. Unlike full estimating platforms like Buildxact, Groundplan does one thing and does it well: fast, accurate measurement directly from digital plans uploaded to your browser.
Estimators use Groundplan to measure areas (floor plans, roofing, tiling), lengths (pipework, cabling, framing), and counts (fixtures, fittings, openings) directly from PDF plans. Measurements feed into quotes built in your preferred spreadsheet or estimating system.
Strengths: Genuinely faster than manual scaling from paper plans. Clean, intuitive interface that new users can learn in under an hour. Scales well for businesses running 10+ quotes per week. Australian-built and Australian-supported.
